BI publisher(Formerly known as XML publisher).
BI publisher is the latest reporting tool by peoplesoft and comes with great feature.
It primarily targets on segregation of report units in Data Logic, Layout Template, Translation as shown in below image which facilitates the maintenance of report with lot of ease.
Installation of XML publisher (BIP):
Navigate to below page and download the setup.
Click on Design Helper
Select your MS Word type.
If you are not sure about your word version, open a word document , go to file->Account.
Click on About Word.
As above you will see the version of Word installed in your machine.
Click on Download Now.
You will have zipped file after download completes.
Extract the file and install as you install any other executable file.
Before Installing BIP, close all office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.
It takes few minutes to install.
Open the Word Document.
You will a tab has been added in word document :”BI Publisher” which will look something like below.
